Sage Pure Essential Oil

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of choice. 

Topical use:

For massage, mix 5 drops with 10 ml carrier oil.

For bath, mix 5 drops with 5 ml carrier oil.

For perfuming, mix 1 drop to 10 drops carrier oil.

• Do not use during pregnancy, on children under 12 or on people who suffer with high blood pressure or epilepsy.
• It should be used in low concentrations as it can be toxic with overuse and can cause convulsions.
• Do not use undiluted on the skin. Avoid contact with sensitive areas, such as eyes.
• Keep out of reach of children. Do not use essential oils on children under 5 years old.
• If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician.
• For external use only.
• Best kept in a cool dry place.

Sage was know as a 'sacred herb' by the ancient Romans and the name "Sage" actually comes from the Latin word "salvia,” meaning "salvation" or "to save.” Greeks and Romans used it to cure snake bites and to invigorate the mind and body and the Chinese believed Sage cured sterility. In the Middle Ages, people used Sage to clean the gums and they drank Sage in tea to treat colds, fevers, liver trouble, and epilepsy.
